From the Mother City of Cape Town this 7 day, 8 night tour takes you from the Atlantic to Indian ocean traversing some of the finest adventure bike routes one could wish for..
Day 1 - Cape Town to Lamberts Bay - 280 km
Coast Route – Our first day starts off up the beautiful West Coast where we pass through fishing villages, stopping for lunch in Paternoster. From here some gravel roads, overnighting in the seaside town of Lamberts Bay.
Day 2 – Lamberts Bay to Cederberg – 180Km
Departing Lamberts Bay we head out on tar road to Clan William. From here we head into Adventure Bike Heaven, the Cederberg mountains. A never ending network of awesome gravel roads and passes. We stop over in the quaint town of Wuppertal and ending at our rustic overnight stop at Oasis.
Day 3 – Oasis to Montagu – 240km
It’s the day of desolation as we head into the Tankwa Karoo where the average rainfall is only 5mm per year. It’s an incredible day with the route taking us through Ceres and ending in the town of Montagu.
Day 4 – Montague (route 62) to Prince Albert via Swartberg Pass – 238 km
It’s all the way on the famous Route 62 stopping at Ronnies “sex” shop!. We tackle the Rooiberg pass before stopping in Oudtshoorn. It’s up and over the Swartberg Pass and ending in Prince Albert.
Day 5 – Prince Albert to Knysna - 180 km
It’s a great day as we tackle the 7 passes of Karatara, Homtini, Phantom Pass to name a few. Loads of indigenous forests ending at the Indian Ocean estuary town of Knysna.
Day 6 – Knysna to Cape Agulhus - 290 km
An exciting day awaits us as we follow the cost line, crossing over the last hand drawn ferry in South Africa at Malgas. From here we pass through the De Hoop Nature reserve and ending at the most southern tip of Africa – Cape Agulhus.
Day 7 – Cape Agulhus to Cape Town – 205 km
Sadly we start our final day but with an exciting itinerary, gravel roads take us through the quaint town of Elim and Die Dam, stopping for lunch at the famous whale watching town of Hermanus. From here we hug the coast past Betties Bay and is a great scenic end to an awesome 7 Days. Drop the bikes off at Honda and off to Fish Hoek guesthouse for a great final supper and tales of the trails.
